Unlike physical characteristics, culture is not something that is automatically inherited at birth; it requires nurturing, appreciation, and passing down through generations. Among all cultural manifestations, mythology stands out as particularly influential. It captivates us with its imaginative power and subtly imparts notions of virtue, vice, and moral ambiguity. India, as a civilization with a history spanning thousands of years, boasts a diverse array of mythological traditions that are intricately interwoven into the fabric of our society.

Regrettably, the tradition of grandparents recounting mythological stories to children seems to be fading away in the digital age. The inundation of gadgets and television has clouded not only our minds but also those of our offspring.

In light of this, an initiative was born to make these ancient tales accessible to children in a manner that resonates with them - through their handheld devices. Hence, we introduce "Gods of India," an application that presents popular Indian myths in the form of interactive quizzes and flashcards. Designed for children and parents alike, this app offers an engaging and educational way to explore Indian mythologies. Care has been taken to ensure that users are not overwhelmed with excess information, aiming for an enjoyable and intellectually enriching experience.

In a diverse country like India, religious myths vary across regions and communities. Therefore, we have focused on incorporating the most widespread mythologies that can appeal to a broad audience.

Our team consists of two passionate individuals - an engineer and a designer. We envision this application as an ongoing dialogue with our users, where their feedback shapes the evolution of the app. In true Indian style, we are committed to continuously enriching the app with new gods and myths.
